The program

The Reboot and Rise weekend in short is about building inner resilience so that you can stand up with new energy for all life on our planet. We do this at a beautiful location in the forest where we can rest, relax and connect with the nature. We will take time to express and feel our worries and despair, and connect and support each other when it becomes difficult. And of course this weekend is about having fun together, singing, laughing and getting lots of inspiration. Here you read everything about it.

REBOOT IN NATURE

Taking time for rest and getting calm is the starting point of building inner resilience. This weekend there will be a lot of time to relax, wander around and feel totally at peace. Everyday we start with a morning meditation and after lunch we do some Yoga Nidra. During the weekend we will connect with nature, with the soil and the trees, and we will learn how to feel gratitude towards our planet, our home. Part of this reboot is that we will have a lot of fun together, making hikes, enjoying the campfire, doing some wild-picking, etc.!

HEALING TEARS AND GROUP SUPPORT

During the weekend we also will do some inner work. Part of that is taking the time to share our worries, fears and despair about the world. This can be intense and therefore we want to create a safe space where everybody can speak freely about their emotions. We want to support each other in dealing with climate anxiety, and feelings of helplessness and powerlessness. This part of the program is very important, because when we feel and express our emotions, we can discover that these emotions are not bringing us down anymore, but becoming a new source of energy.

GETTING INSPIRED AND RISING UP

During the weekend we will have workshops where we will receive some inspiration. There will be a workshop about understanding the system we live in, and which is part of us and how we can change this system. Another workshop will be about hope; how we can find a new definition of hope (Active Hope - Joanna Macy) and actively participating in this hope. Another  workshop is about a new form of power and how we can use the synergy effects.  In a last workshop we will help you find your own vision in what you can contribute and in how you can rise up for all life on our planet.

The accomodation

The Seminarhaus Gevelsberg „Altes Forsthaus" is located between Wuppertal and Essen in west Germany. It is in the middel of the forest of Gevelsberg; the perfect place to slow down, to come in contact with yourself and the nature. The large garden with a distant view of the valley invites you to plenty of outdoor leisure and workshop opportunities. In addition, there is a large covered outside area, various group pitches in the wooded hillside location and a large flat meadow.

You can choose to share a simple room (with at most two other people, or bring your own tent.)

Pillows are available, but take your own bed sheets / sleeping back.

For this weekend a cook will come with us, to make us healthy  vegetarian/vegan food (mostly organic).

When you come by public transport we can pick you up from the train station Gevelsberg and on departure bring you back.
